Artist's Statement
" "
“Art has been a major part of my life since I was very young. My art has been my enjoyment, my passion and my escape.”

Creation is more than expression—it’s an extension of the creator. My passions vary in subject from lush landscapes to touchable nudes, and soul-capturing portraits to symbolic art. I strive to inject a little part of myself into every piece I create. Through my eyes, I will take you on a journey of the senses.

Black and white are the colors of good and evil—the essence of the life force—so charcoal and graphite are my minions. By pushing the lead, I can create contrast and detail that will make you take a closer look.

Armed with raw talent, I arrived at Antonelli Institute of Art and Photography and swiftly rose to the top of my game by the time the institute changed hands the following year to Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts. During the summer break, I learned screen printing by trade, which has enabled me to provide wearable art to the masses.

While working as a screen printer and full-time artist by day, my nights are spent prowling for new inspiration with the help of seven or eight cups of high test. I’ve had the pleasure of tricking out ads for fast-food restaurants like Hardees as well as local radio stations and other businesses. Even rock icons like The Black Crowes have been “Rudisill’ed” with my apparel designs for promotional giveaways.

Today, after finding the American dream with an amazing wife and three kids, I have complete creative control with my screen printing and embroidery business, featuring 9-11 anniversary graphics and designs on the backs of MMA fighters such as Thiego Alves and Donald Cerrone. I freelance to other printers and larger apparel companies worldwide.

My free time is spent manipulating the disorganization of my mind into fine art, which I hope you’ll enjoy by browsing through my gallery.

"The wind is the singer who sang the first song" This is 16"x21" Charcoal illustration on Canson Mi-Teintes paper. This is the fifth drawing of the Ireland series. Even though none of the reference pics or model were from Ireland, the inspiration came to me while visiting Ireland. Standing outside one night while visiting Malahide Ireland, I noticed how quiet and peaceful the night times were in Ireland. I looked up into the sky to notice drifting clouds and a full October moon. The only sound that I heard was the gentle wisping of the wind. I memory of my childhood came over me of my parents listening to music one evening as the often did. The lyrics to John Denver's Windsong ran through my mind. A song I haven't heard for over 30 years and to still remember the lyrics so clearly, seemed like a sign. *Original for Sale Framed - Inquiries go to http://www.giftsinnboonsboro.com/ or Contact Natoma Vargason at info@giftsinnboonsboro.com

Hore Abbey (also Hoare Abbey, sometimes known as St.Mary's) is a ruined Cistercian monastery near the Rock of Cashel, County Tipperary,Republic of Ireland On our walk down from the Rock of Cashel, it was getting dusk and into view we saw the Abbey. WIth a slight foggy view and overcast day, the Abbey appeared very haunting...almost dreamlike.
